Just looking into some research for a project I’ve been considering for a while now, so I created a survey that may assist in shedding some light on it for me. Have experience with bicycles, either riding them or working on them? I’d love to hear from you, and start a conversation on Understanding Modern Bicycle Technology
Evidently, last night’s scholarship Future Now Pitch Night for those students selected from the Academy of Art’s Spring Show resulted in my project (the ‘Pelago Platform) getting voted the People’s Choice!
A huge thanks to everyone that voted for my project, it is greatly appreciated.
It was great to see the other students present their work as well. Congrats to those that won their category by the panel of judges.
I am beginning to add more content to this website, the intention of which is to put on display my work and design process in a portfolio manner. Like much in life, this is a work in progress, some of the submissions potentially appear incomplete at this point. Part of my process is putting something out, submitting it, in order to motivate myself to bring it to completion. An evolution of sorts; an evolution of tweaks; nudging ever closer to an ideal of perfection. For purposes of this website, having it on display; “started” per se, is a very helpful motivator for me to work on it. Throughout this process I wholly welcome any and all feedback, nudge suggestions, and criticism.
Thanks to the encouragement and feedback received from this new site, I’ve gotten my Product Design II project entered into the James Dyson Award competition. Check it out:
This is exciting news, I have been selected to have my work from Product Design II at the Academy of Art included in this semester’s Spring Show. While this specific show is strictly online due to the current pandemic lock-down, it is still an honor to be featured among some of the most polished work from this school and semester.
Check it out; I’d love to hear any feedback!
About Spring Show 2020
MEET THE FUTURE OF ART AND DESIGN
Academy of Art University’s annual Spring Show showcases the achievements of our graduating students. They are a diverse group of artists, designers, and creative problem-solvers prepared to demonstrate their skills, make career connections, and put their talent and training to work.
One big life-consuming meatball:
at the Academy of Art University, studying Industrial Design
For many years my time was spent in the workshops of these businesses, most are still around, some may not be:
Part of my past included a magazine publication I attempted to get off the ground and maintain, eventually on my own. Check out it’s remnants here:
