Argentina Travel
Having the opportunity to travel to South America to be a part of an incredible international art and technology project was a memory and adventure I am sure to not forget anytime soon.
Describing the gist of the project and explanation of why I have been traveling to Argentina suddenly has been challenging: compressing the notion of high tech robotics that somehow requires the involvement of mules isn’t exactly clear. Summing up the various collaborative parts of those robotics, the logistics involved, throwing in some mechanical, electrical, and CMF design, learning a foreign language, and interacting with artists and technologists with an incredibly rich and passionate cultural/historical backstory can only be done in sections to fully understand it all.
My personal involvement was composed of not only the above, but it also tapped into my personal history as a maker and a problem solver [read: my background as a bicycle mechanic]. Being versatile and nimble allowed me to learn on the fly about batteries, how electrical connections are also mechanical connections, and generally adopting the philosophy, “no problems, only solutions”; weaving past experience into new situations is what its all about.
The seemingly random notion that I was just recently doing what I was doing in Argentina is still sort of confusing in a really good way; the sensations are still reverberating through my psyche.
